Maurice Eliot 'Les fêtes de Gavarni' Style:France, 1903 Music By Leo FallMaurice Eliot (1862 1945) was a French painter engraver, and illustrator. This piece of Eliot's came to be through a collaboration with other artists as they designed fans that were in attendance at a festival dedicated to other artist Paul Gavarni. The event took place in the Salle Favart in the Opra Comique in Paris in April of 1903. The end result is a sort of mystifying scene, as guests are captured mid movement in formal evening attire.
